When I have more time (since I only have two more days of freedom before I am back to work!), I will go back and add captions to these. Until now, this will give you an idea of how the hike was!

Holy Cow. I keep being told that Havasupai totally got flooded and they had to evacuate people from the canyon the last couple of days. It’s on cnn.com and foxnews.com too. We were pretty lucky!

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR… WEST CENTRAL COCONINO COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ARIZONA…

* UNTIL 1245 PM MST

* AT 625 AM MST…THE COCONINO COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED THAT THE REDLANDS DAM WEST OF VALLE HAD BREACHED. THIS WILL SEND ADDITIONAL FLOOD WATER DOWN CATARACT CANYON…AND ADD TO THE FLASH FLOODING THAT IS ONGOING IN SUPAI THIS MORNING. THE SUPAI POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THAT EXTENSIVE FLOODING IS OCCURRING THIS MORNING…WITH FOOT BRIDGES WASHED OUT AND TREES UPROOTED. EVACUATIONS HAVE OCCURRED IN SUPAI.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO HUALAPAI HILLTOP TRAIL DOWN TO SUPAI…CATARACT CREEK AND HAVASU CREEK TO THE CONFLUENCE WITH THE COLORADO RIVER.

DO NOT TRAVEL TO OR FROM THE HUALAPAI HILLTOP TO SUPAI TODAY! SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.

I just got back from an amazing hiking trip to Havasupai, which is located on the South rim of the Grand Canyon. It’s an indian reservation hidden in the canyon and has the most beautiful waterfalls and blue green water. The hike is pretty intense, but it is so worth it. I wish I could of stayed longer! So just like the millions of people out there that watch the show, I to cannot wait for the finale of So You Think You Can Dance tonight. I just had to post that. I hope Josh wins, even though I love Katee.

So the Las Cruces kids hadn’t been bowling in a while, so I got the idea that we all needed to do it tonight. We met up at Sun Lanes with the “brotherhood” (Mike’s brothers) and their wives along with Kimball and Elia and had ourselves a grand old time tonight!

Last night Mike and I went to Outback for an amazing dinner. Since I have been in New Mexico we hardly have any one on one time, so this was our first “date” night. Earlier in the day, Mike surprised me with Guitar Hero. So we played that the rest of the night. Good times.

So in Las Cruces, biking is hard core and if you don’t bike, you basically are brainwashed into it (I’m kidding). On Tuesday night people meet up and ride in groups up the trails and then meet up and barbecue afterwards in the parking lot or like tonight, at Mike’s house. Tonight was my first Tuesday night ride. Let me remind you, we were at the lake ALL day. What a day!

Last night Mike and I went up to the Soward’s trailer on Caballo Lake with Abe, Cody, and their son Wyatt (the cutest baby ever). We wanted to get a head start on boating so we went to bed, got up in the morning, and took off for the lake for a fun day of wakeboarding, tanning, and picnicking. I actually got up on the wakeboard too!
